(Monday - Saturday 10-4pm.)
The Arts Centre has a café and you
can have lunches or snacks and is very good.

Works going on at the club

Please note that the club premises will be closed for approximately three
or four weeks whilst alteration work and improvements are carried out. In
other words the darkroom, studio and computer facilities are unavailable for
the time being, however the clubrooms will remain open on Tuesdays and
Thursdays as usual for chat, tea, coffee etc. We intend to carry out work
over the next few weeks so please keep an eye on the website for any works
that are coming up and we would be delighted to see you if you would like to
get stuck in and help - with painting, cleaning moving furniture etc.,etc.

Late Call
As you are aware we are invited over to Germany for the weekend 18th-21st
September to participate in the ongoing joint exhibition between Midlothian
camera club and Fotoclub Hucklehoven and we need more entries from our
members. In total we require 30 entries for the exhibition and as we have
already said it was the intention to try to involve as many members as
possible in this, i.e. 30 entrants with one strong image each would be ideal
but in the event, so far out of a club of 48 members i think only 13 - 14
members have contributed. Remember there is no theme for this exhibition, so
the subject matter can be anything you please - two A4 prints please, either
with or without a 5mm white border, marked on the reverse as to your '1st'
or '2nd' choice for inclusion - what could be simpler? Please get involved.
Remember that after the exhibition has been shown in Germany it then comes
home to roost and tours the Midlothian libraries early in 2010, so your work
will be on display over here as well.
We need your prints (along with a low resolution digital image for record
purposes and cataloguing) before July 15th as they have to be organised and
posted off to Germany by August.

MIDLOTHIAN CAMERA CLUB
JOINT EXHIBITION WITH FOTOCLUB-HUCKELHOVEN
2009-10

Although
the next exhibition still seems far away, in organisational terms it is not.
The prints have to be sent over to Germany to arrive no later than 15th
August. Therefore the sooner we start to organise it the better, taking into
account the summer recess. We are looking for an input from as many members as
possible, which will allow us to submit a total of 30 prints to
the exhibition. It is not a competition but an exhibition, and therefore
we would like to see as many members as possible taking part. Please submit a
max. of two prints of what you consider to be your best work. If you
need any assistance in printing, choice of images, etc., please see a member of
the committee who will be more than happy to help.
